Homemade Coffee Ice Cream Recipe

 

 

Rich, creamy, and bursting with bold coffee flavor—this easy homemade treat is pure indulgence!


Ingredients:

- 2 cups heavy cream (chilled)  

- 1 cup whole milk (chilled)  

- ¾ cup granulated sugar  

- ½ cup strong brewed coffee (*cooled*)  

- 1 tsp vanilla extract (*optional, for depth*)  

- Pinch of salt (*to enhance flavor*)  


Instructions:  


1.Mix the Base:  

   In a large bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, milk, sugar, cooled coffee, vanilla (if using), and salt until the sugar is fully dissolved. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.  


2. Churn:

   Pour the mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions (usually 20-25 minutes) until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.  


3. Freeze to Set:

   Transfer the churned ice cream to a freezer-safe container, smoothing the top. Cover with parchment paper (pressed directly on the surface) and seal tightly. Freeze for **at least 4 hours** or overnight for a firmer texture.  


4.Serve & Enjoy 

   Scoop into bowls or cones. For extra flair, drizzle with chocolate syrup, sprinkle crushed espresso beans, or add whipped cream!  

Tips: 

- Stronger coffee flavor? Use espresso or instant coffee dissolved in 1 tbsp hot water.  

- No ice cream maker? Freeze the mixture in a shallow dish, stirring vigorously every 30 minutes for 3-4 hours to prevent ice crystals.
