Classic Chef Salad

A Chef Salad is a hearty, protein-packed meal in a bowl, loaded with fresh veggies, deli meats, cheese, and hard-boiled eggs. It’s customizable, satisfying, and perfect for a quick lunch or dinner.

---

Ingredients (serves 2-4):

Base:

- 6 cups  chopped romaine lettuce  (or mixed greens)

- 1 cup  diced cooked turkey or chicken(or deli slices)

- 1 cup  diced ham (or smoked turkey)

- 1 cup  diced Swiss cheese (or cheddar, American, or provolone)

- 2  hard-boiled eggs , sliced or quartered

- 1/2 cup  cherry tomatoes, halved

- 1/2 cup  cucumber, sliced

- 1/4 cup  red onion, thinly sliced

- 1/4 cup  black olives (optional)

- Croutons (optional, for crunch)

Dressing (Choose One):

- Ranch (classic choice)

- Blue Cheese

- Thousand Island

- Balsamic Vinaigrette

Instructions

1. Prep Ingredients – Chop lettuce, meats, cheese, and veggies. Slice eggs.

2. Assemble Salad – In a large bowl, layer lettuce, then arrange meats, cheese, eggs, tomatoes, cucumber, onion, and olives in sections (or toss together).

3. Add Dressing – Drizzle with your favorite dressing just before serving.

4. Optional Extras – Top with croutons, avocado, or bacon bits for extra flavor.

Tips:

- Use  leftover rotisserie chicken or turkey for an easy shortcut.

- Make it  low-carb by skipping croutons and adding more protein.

- For a  lighter version, swap ranch for a vinaigrette.

A Chef Salad is endlessly adaptable—perfect for using up leftovers while keeping it fresh and filling!
