🥟 Crispy Dumpling Salad 🥗

 

Crispy dumplings meet a refreshing salad – crunchy, savory, and full of flavor. Perfect as a light meal, side dish, or even a fun party platter!


🥟 Ingredients

For the Dumplings:

  • 15–20 frozen or homemade dumplings (veggie, chicken, or your choice)

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil (for pan-frying)

For the Salad Base:

  • 2 cups mixed lettuce or cabbage (shredded)

  • 1 cup cucumber (thinly sliced)

  • 1 carrot (julienned or shredded)

  • ½ red bell pepper (thinly sliced)

  • 2 spring onions (chopped)

  • Fresh cilantro or mint leaves (a handful)

For the Dressing:

  • 3 tbsp soy sauce

  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar (or lime juice)

  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup

  • 1 tsp chili flakes (adjust to spice level)

  • 1 tsp grated ginger

  • 1 clove garlic (minced)

  • Optional: 1 tsp peanut butter for creaminess


🔥 Method

  1. Cook Dumplings: Heat oil in a pan and fry dumplings until golden brown and crispy on both sides (about 5–6 min). Set aside.

  2. Make Dressing: Whisk soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, honey, chili flakes, ginger, and garlic until well combined.

  3. Assemble Salad: In a large bowl, toss lettuce, cucumber, carrot, bell pepper, and spring onions with the dressing.

  4. Add Dumplings: Place crispy dumplings on top of the salad.

  5. Garnish: Sprinkle sesame seeds, extra herbs, or crushed peanuts. Serve immediately while dumplings are still crispy!
