- In a saucepan, heat the remaining milk and sugar on medium flame until warm (do not boil).
- Slowly whisk in the custard paste, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
- Cook for 5–7 minutes until the custard thickens (coats the back of a spoon).
- Remove from heat, stir in mango puree , and let it cool completely (cover with cling film to prevent a skin).
2. Prepare the Whipped Cream (if homemade):
- Chill a mixing bowl and beaters for 10 mins.
- Whip 1 cup cold heavy cream + 2 tbsp powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
3. Assemble the Trifle:
In a trifle bowl or individual glasses, layer in this order (repeat layers as desired):
1. Base:Sponge cake cubes or crushed cookies.
2. Layer 2:Whipped cream.
3. Layer 3: Diced mangoes.
4. Layer 4: Mango custard.
- Repeat until the bowl is full, ending with a top layer of whipped cream, mango chunks, and garnish (nuts/fruits).

- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours (overnight for better flavor).
- Serve cold and enjoy!
Tips for Success:
- Mangoes: Use ripe, sweet mangoes (Alphonso, Kesar, or Ataulfo).
- Texture:For a thicker custard, increase custard powder by ½ tbsp.
- Shortcut: Use store-bought custard or whipped cream to save time.
- Variations:Add jelly cubes, chia pudding, or coconut flakes for extra layers.
This creamy, fruity dessert is perfect for parties or summer treats! Let me know if you’d like any modifications.
